- Is HPC™ Coating a reflector?
- When should I use HPC™ Coating instead of Super Therm®?
- What is the best topcoat for HPC™ Coating?
- Is HPC™ Coating a reflector?
No. HPC™ Coating uses only non-conductive ceramics. HPC™ Coating is designed not to absorb, but to catch and hold heat on the surface. - When should I use HPC™ Coating instead of Super Therm®?
HPC™ Coating is designed to prevent conductive heat transfer, while Super Therm® works on radiational and convective heat transfer. Use HPC™ Coating to reduce heat loss from conduction in conditions with high temperatures. HPC™ Coating catches and holds heat "onto" a surface. Super Therm® repels heat off of or away from a surface and does not allow the surface to load heat from the heat source. - What is the best topcoat for HPC™ Coating?
HPC™ Coating must be sealed with Super Therm® before any solvent-based topcoat can be used. For exterior use, overcoat with Super Therm®. For use in a chemical environment, overcoat with Super Therm® and with either Rust Grip® or Enamo Grip (if color topcoat is desired).
